Invest In Children
Invest in Children is Cuyahoga County’s early childhood system, which focuses on four areas:
- Effective Parents and Families,
- Safe and Healthy Children,
- Children Prepared for School, and
- A Community Committed to Children.
The mission of Invest in Children is to mobilize resources and energy to ensure the well-being of all young children in Cuyahoga County; provide supportive services to parents and caregivers; and build awareness, momentum, and advocacy in the community around children and family issues.
One of Invest in Children’s programs is the award-winning Universal Pre-Kindergarten (UPK), which aims to make high-quality preschool available to all families. UPK and SUTQ work hand in hand to ensure that only preschool sites which meet strict local and state requirements for quality can be designated a UPK site.
