The Ohio Department of Health in conjunction with the Ohio Child Care Resource and Referral agency has awarded ECEC a prestigious “Ohio Healthy Program” designation.

We offer our children healthy, clean food without high fructose corn syrup, artificial colors, artificial sweeteners, partially-hydrogenated oils and trans fats or any unnatural preservatives. Eating “family style” allows teachers to sit down and eat with children and teach them about proper portions and self-regulation.

In addition to healthy eating, we commit to children’s physical activity. Our facility has a large gym, two large muscle rooms, three playgrounds, a physical education “special” offered to all children called Stretch-n-Grow, and outdoor exploration on 3 acres of green space. Children are afforded opportunities to use those large muscles for planned and unplanned activities.
